The Jeanne Lewellen Norbeck Memorial Chapel is heated and air-conditioned with ADA approved restroom facilities, complete kitchen, chapel PA system, chapel organ with parking available on the street or in joint use parking lot behind the chapel. The chapel is located on the corner of Middle Road and Grissom Street at the Columbus, Indiana Municipal Airport. The chapel will seat up to ninety guests in the sanctuary.

SPECIAL NOTICE: The Chapel is a museum and the only remaining 1942 barracks type building and the approval for use of the facility will be determined by the museum board of directors.

Jeanne Lewellen Norbeck Memorial Chapel Rental Rates and Rules for Usage

Charges:    Chapel and Fellowship Hall

                    $150.00 charge plus $250.00 Damage Deposit

                    Chapel, Fellowship Hall and Kitchen

                    $200.00 charge plus $250.00 Damage Deposit

1. Persons utilizing the facilities are responsible for general cleanup. The floor should be swept, and all garbage should be placed in bags. Garbage bags should be placed outside the read door for pickup.

2. Doors are all locked with deadbolt locks, and must be unlocked with a key upon entry to the Chapel. Both the front and rear doors must remain unlocked for emergency exit purposes. All doors must be secured and locked upon leaving.

3. HVAC Controls-two thermostats (one for the Sanctuary and one for Fellowship Hall). These thermostats may be set for comfort, but must be reset upon leaving. These should be set to 50 degrees in the heating season and to 80 degrees in the cooling season.

4. Before leaving the Chapel, all lights must be turned off, the water heater must be turned off and the water valve in the ladies restroom must be shut off.

5. Absolutely no smoking or alcoholic beverages are permitted.

6. Children and youth are not to be left unattended.
